A man has been charged after a series of indecent exposures in Bolton. Patrick Tamas (born 31/01/1996), of Merehall Close, Bolton, is charged with three counts of exposure. He appeared before Bolton Magistrates Court on 30 October 2014 and was remanded in custody to appear next on 12 November 2014. It follows three incidents of indecent exposure that occurred in Bolton in the space of 24 hours. The first occurred in the Brownlow Way area of Halliwell at about 7pm on 26 October 2014 during which a man exposed himself to a 12-year-old girl. The second incident took place just two hours later that evening in the Shepherds Cross Street area of Halliwell and a 17-year-old girl was this time the victim of an indecent exposure. The final incident took place at about 7.45pm on 27 October 2014 on Thynne Street, Great Lever, during which a man exposed himself to a 32-year-old woman. Detective Sergeant Patrick Wood said: These exposures caused a great deal of distress and anxiety in the local area, particularly among women and parents given the ages of two of the victims. I want to assure people that we have charged a man and while I cannot go into detail at this stage because the matter will be dealt with by the courts, it is clearly reassuring for the community to know we have made an arrest and brought a charge. I would appeal to anyone who has been affected by the investigation to call us. Anyone with information should call police on 101 or the independent charity Crimestoppers, anonymously, on 0800 555 111.
