A man has been retrieved from the water at Darling Harbour after a police operation this morning. Police from Sydney City Local Area Command were alerted that a 27-year-old man had jumped or fallen into the water about 3.15am today (Sunday 13 April 2014), and was under the Darling Harbour boardwalk. When the man did not re-appear, a Marine Area Command launch, Police Rescue team and a Police Diver were called to the scene. Police made verbal contact with the man and about 4.30am he was removed from the water. He was treated at the scene by NSW Ambulance Paramedics for the effects of hypothermia and shock before leaving. It’s believed the man is from Ultimo.
