A man has sued former Prime Minister and CORD leader Raila Odinga over alleged hate speech. Aron Pesa Shayo filed an application seeking to prosecute Raila over alleged hate speech at the Kibera law courts on 13 June, 2014. He was however directed to amend the application and make the Director of Public Prosecutions (DPP) Keriako Tobiko the respondent instead of Raila, Pesa claims that Raila uttered inflammatory words at a rally he allegedly attended on 17 January at Kenyatta Grounds in Kisumu.
