A man named Eric Franco challenged me to make a statement regarding Russell Pearces radio comments. Franco insinuated that because I had been a guest on Russells show I must certainly think the way Pearce thought. I sent him this answer. Eric and everyone, Of course I feel as everyone does that Russells comments should have been labeled as the comments of someone else as opposed to giving the impression that he had penned the comments himself. If he had done that there would be no controversy. The statement, as ugly as it is, has had broad internet distribution. The first amendment to the constitution gives us as Americans rights that dont exist in most other countries. Now then as to the statement itself, let there be no doubt in anyones mind that I find the treatment suggested for women on welfare objectionable, reprehensible, and not even open to any consideration anywhere, in not just this country, but the world. I hope that answers Mr. Franco and anyone else who might question my feelings on the Russell Pearce event.
