A man suspected of robbing the One Stop shop in Avon Drive in Bedford at gun point this morning was arrested by officers after a police dog tracked him to his home. The robbery occurred just before 6am when a masked man walked into the convenience store and threatened the female member of staff before taking a quantity of cash from the safe. The woman who was left shaken but unhurt called police the moment the offender left the store. Officers immediately attended with a police search dog who tracked the suspect to a property in close by in Torridge Rise. A man was subsequently arrested by armed police at 7.20am.
