A martial artist asked me recently, if you are a shoe string budget, what can you do everyday to stay in shape.. Here it is.. The TOP 3 things you can do everyday with NO equipment! 1) A TON of PUSHUPS! Everyone knows my love for pushups. I do them daily! Im at 150 in 60 secs and 1000 in 24 mins! Start NOW! And you will be amazed by how strong your core will be in 60 days! 2) Squats/ Squat Jumps/ Squat kicks! - this is a great workout and also makes you very explosive as a Martial Artist.. You can add weight by simply getting some cheap dumbells.. Or you can get creative.. I 30 pond tree limb works great! Worked good for Rocky! 3) SHADOW BOX!! This so neglected in most of todays Martial arts and MMA academies!What an amazing workout! makes you fast and explosive. Add Elbows, knees and kicks!. Start with 3 1 min rounds.. Build up to any CRAZY number you want!! Especially you guys and girls that are competing, ring or cage!! Always train with more time and intensity than the actual fight is going to be.. I tell my fighters to train as if you were fighting 2 fights back to back!! Add light weights in the hands (no more than 5 pounds) to make it even harder and HARD is good! There you go! 3 Things you can do EVERYDAY!! Get at it! And Keep Moving forward!! ~ GURO
