Addition: You’re not permitted to add anything to the laws set by Allah Subhanahu Wa Taa’la. Enough is the guidance of Qur’an and Sunnah to lead our lives. Any addition to deen will surely create a fitnah. ................................................................................... Subtraction: You’re not permitted to subtract anything from the laws set by Allah Subhanahu Wa Taa’la to a level which suits your desires. Any subtraction in deen will surely create a fitnah. …................................................................... Division: It is because of these additions and subtractions by some misguided people that we see so many divisions amongst us. If we had just adhered to the revealed laws and avoided additions, subtractions than there wouldn’t have been any divisions. ..................................................................................... Multiplication: Strict adherence to Qur’an and Sunnah will increase both quality and quantity of the believers. We will see the disbelievers joining us in multitudes, and the reason for this multiplication would be avoidance of innovative ideas and changing the laws as per our desires.
