A mature and gentle mother bear with two small cubs has been shot - TopicsExpress

A mature and gentle mother bear with two small cubs has been shot in Minnesota. She (June) was a favorite research bear(bear.org) allowing Dr Lynn Rogers and Sue Mansfield to learn much about bears. This information is often shared on this page. How could this happen? This bear was wearing a radio collar with bright ribbons attached. There could be no mistake this mother bear was a collared bear for research. Plus she is a nursing female. Where are the ethics, the sense of right or wrong? Where is the humanity in the kind of person that could do such a thing? Is this responsible hunting? NO. Was this bear killed by a responsible hunter? NO. Was this bear killed by a public citizen with a hunting licence??? ... Many questions need to be answered. Now what will happen to the small cubs? - Mike for (Michele, Krista and Mike - BWU Team) tinyurl/l8mpkwo
