A member of our Facebook community could use your help: My son has started on pump for T1 at 4 yrs. No hypo awareness and frequent hypo. Sure T insertion set and mini-med. The pump has stopped delivering required insulin on two consecutive days with different insertion sets/sites as backflow of blood into tube and dried blood at the end of the tube. Using Sure T as small child and suggested would reduce failure rate as no kinks. However nurse hasnt come across the dried blood at the end of the tube before and wondered whether any of you had any advice/ideas before we switch to a different infusion set.
