If we lose the CCE, we lose programs on nutrition, food safety, sustainable energy, food systems, natural resources and 4H - which we have basically lost already, since the CCE has 4H camp, but no more 4H clubs." CCE notes it has been in talks recently to resurrect the local 4-H clubs, including robotics, and already has some groups lined up to be among the first, but if the county decides these things are "wasteful spending," that is unlikley to happen. Just a few decades ago, the 4-H after-school program in Nassau was the biggest in the state.
