A member writes: My daughter died May 2 2014. I have been grieving and wanted to find a support group. Finding one that isnt faith based is hard. I did find Compassionate Friends which isnt faith based but may as well be. The first meeting the speaker they had was a medium and psychic. The woman basically told the group she contacts the dead and it can help with the grieving process. I felt like these grieving families were being taken advantage of because they were in a vulnerable state. I want so much to have a support group but it seems impossible unless I want to hear comments like god doesnt give you more than you can handle or god cried first (what the hell does that even mean). Why do people who believe in god insist on imposing it on others? Grief Beyond Belief was founded in part due to experiences like these. Have you experienced similar?
