A message below from my friend, Pastor Ken, from early this morning. Blessings, Kat :-) Good Morning, God calls us His sheep. He also says we are more than conquerors. Conquering sheep. That is a mixed metaphor and an oxymoron all in one. God does things like that, and they seem strange to us. His knowledge is beyond ours, so the comprehension of ‘conquering sheep’ does not come easily for us. Think about this: every great military leader had many followers. Napoleon, Alexander the Great, Patton, General MacArthur... The followers were the rank and file behind the great leader - the sheep, but they all shared in the victory - the conquest. To have victory in this life and in this world we must be followers of a great leader - the greatest leader - God. Some shy away from the comparison to a sheep, as the sheep seem so defenseless. That is the key - we are defenseless without the guidance and protection of our Leader. But with Him we are conquerors. The Word takes it even farther - more than conquerors. How so? In the end, we win. It is a victory that cannot be undone by a loss. More than conquerors. See you later, love, Ken
