A message from Jill, our site manager Dear Members, After an extremely long and exhausting two days (7.30am ‘til 8.00pm on Thursday and 7.30am ‘til 6.30 today) we are nearly there. It is estimated that the site will be fully operational again from 2.00 pm tomorrow. There will be a restriction in place in the morning, IF YOU WISH TO COME ON SITE PLEASE DO SO ON FOOT ONLY. Please note the gates will not be open for pedestrians until approximately 8.30am NO VEHICLES AT THIS TIME PLEASE. There are still small sections of open trench on site, the water needs to be re-tested, the roadway needs to be made good and there are various piles of carpet and bricks which need to be relocated to the manure bay at the Ember Court end of the site. It would be nice if those who were unable to assist over the last two days would give an hour or so in the morning to help finish off. Vehicle access will be available from 2.00pm tomorrow. The work was carried out by a very small crew: John Legate plot 46, Paul Short plot 24, Jo O’Doherty plot 35, Chris Lewis plot 23, Mick Mullard plot 6, Kent McMillan plot 22, Julia Elworthy plot 86a, Paddy McDermott plot 27a, Ian Billett plot 68a, Piotr Hennig & Julie Smith plot 85a, Eric Leigh plot 44a, Sheena Clarke plot 73a and me plot 26. Out of necessity the frontage on numerous plots has been dug up and over the next few weeks as the ground settles dips will appear. Please use the sods on the edge of plots to fill any holes; you will need to lay them grass side down. Thank you for your patience and thank you to the beekeepers for allowing us to use their facilities. Jill
