A message from my daughter, Ameera: As most of you know, I am part of the kung fu club here at Case Western. This year, 10 of our members (including me) are being considered for the US Shuai Chiao team, which will be competing in Rome in May. This is an extraordinarily huge deal! I am really optimistic about being able to go. If I do, this would be the first time since 2002 that any Muslim has been on the team and the first time a Muslim woman has ever represented on the team.
