A message from the Food Truck Association. Baltimore, we need your support. A hearing was held today at City Hall on the new regulations governing Food Trucks. After several months of meetings and negotiations the administration had produced a compromised version of the bill that would help the food truck industry to grow and prosper in Baltimore. Several 11th hour amendments introduced by two members of the Judiciary Committee have threatened the very existence of Food Trucks in the city. An amendment to ban Food trucks from Fells Point to GreekTown was introduced and Council woman Mary Pat Clark stated that she didnt care where food trucks go as long as it was no where in her district. The Mayors office through the Department Of General Services have been very supportive of the Food Trucks and we as an industry have negotiated in good faith on a bill that was fair to both sides. If you enjoy going to a Food Truck in Baltimore, especially if you live in the Hampden or Fells Point, Canton areas, please let your representatives in the city council know that you support us. This Fridays Gathering is in front of City Hall at the War Memorial Plaza, what better way to show your support than to show the City Council with a large turnout that Baltimore LOVES Food Trucks.
