A message to all the funky party animals, dope producers, amazing visual artists, crew, volunteers and everyone dismayed over the sad news of the cancellation of Harmonize Festival; The ESF Crew are gutted over the news and had planned to be soaking up the awesome vibes, choice selection of tunes and spectacular array of visual delights Harmonize has offered in previous years and we are sure wouldve been on offer had this years festival gone ahead. We have decided that having already planned to devote this time to an outdoor music event, being part of the management team had Harmonize gone ahead, we are still going to party on that weekend, May 16 - 18. We realise there are probably a number of people in the same boat, so we are putting it out there that ESF are planning an event for that weekend. We imagine there will be a few people around who have now devoted time off, creative energy and/or an intent to party that weekend who are now at a loose end and would still love to be in a nice bush location partying on that weekend. We are asking for people to express to us if they would be interested in being involved in an event that weekend and to what level they would like to be involved. Our plan is to gauge the level of interest generated and build the party based on the feedback. So please pm Bear Keen, Stu Chazwozza, Reuben Stocks, Fish EO with expressions of interest. We do not intend to be a carbon copy of Harmonize and you can be sure it will be a scaled down affair with a distinct ESF flavour, most probably over one night. Be sure we will still have a talented lineup of quality artists, rocking sound system, epic decor, audio visual delights, at least one stall providing refreshing food and drinks, well maintained basic amenities, a nice bush location and space for comfortable camping. How scaled down will depend on the interest shown by the community. It will be happening either way, whether it is just the ESF crew and a few close friends or a bit larger in scale than that will depend on feedback. We still hope future years will see a return of Harmonize Festival or another festival incarnation from Hazzard n co. We loved being a part of the first two Harmonizes and will be sure to be involved in any future endeavours. We extend our condolences to the rest of the Harmonize team, particularly the man at the helm, Hazzard. We respect the massive amount of energy you put into the scene and hope to offer you something to enjoy that weekend.
