A message to dog owners at the dog park: The #1 rule at a dog park is to be responsible for your dog. When you see your dog humping someone elses dog, go over and get he/she off of the other dog. When you see your dog bothering another dog, go get your dog and hold him/her for a few seconds to calm he/she down. When you see a fight breaking out, all owners should rush over to help break it up. Do not just sit on the bench and look on as your dog attacks another one. Do not scold me for shoving your intact male off of my dog while it is humping her, potentially about to start a fight. Do not yell at me for pushing your dog away from mine after it growled at her and latched onto her throat. When someone is coming into the dog park and a gang of dogs are waiting at the entrance to ambush the incoming dog, go over and help pull them away, even if they are not your dogs. I am a responsible dog owner at the dog park. Clearly, many others are not.
