A mid-day update after meeting with the A-Team on todays plan relative to his injury trifecta: 1) latest CT scan and other tests indicate the clot has not grown or moved...good! They continue to tweak the heparin to maintain the targeted thinning level. 2) they have reached consensus to delay either procedure they were considering last night to address the bile leak and retained fluid...Chewy loved that change! 3) the portal vein injury will continue to be in wait and see mode and remains very delicate for them Basically, today has become another day they want Chewy to win on his own to get a little stronger and buy them more time. His job again is to sleep, eat, and exercise...probably good goals for each of us in our daily lives.
