A mind blowing true story. Hello Everyone, Below is the full incident as what happened with my Friend’s parents in Uttrankhand. Which my friend posted to share it with us. Please spare your few minutes and read it. It was 9:30 am, saw ma n pa…no emotions on their faces….purely blank…v hugged n cried…the firmness in their grip made me realize the havoc that they witnessed in last few days in Kedarnath is to stay in their heart n mind and is going to hurt them lifelong. Pa, I love you sooo much..u r truly a super hero…u bought my ma back to me. Things in kedarnath were much more worst than v hv been watching on TV or reading in newspapers, ma n pa along with 10 others in the group, after returning from Gangotri n Yamunotri, reached Gauri Kund, as it was raining so they decided to stay in the hotel, on around 6:30 pm there was an emergency announcement from the hotel management asking guest to immediately vacate the hotel without delay, they all ran out of the hotel and within 10 mins. of announcement the hotel collapsed in to the river mandakini which brought hundreds of vehicles and mud with it, pa said the vehicles in the river were flowing lyk paper boats, ma-pa got terrified because this was the incident which they had never ever witnessed in their life, since it was raining heavily they all climbed up the hill to stay in another hotel, as they were preparing to sleep another announcement shocked them and it was again to vacate the hotel, as soon as they left the hotel it came down like a pack of cards…chaos spread with in no seconds this incident gave Pa a clear indication of what they were upto, amid that chaos ma saw a women in the state of shock was walking naked, she rushed towards her and immediately covered her whit her shawl, she noticed she was the same women whom she met in the hotel and was there with her husband and her two kids but now she was all alone, ma was in the state of utter shock n was very frightened, amid that chaos ma n pa got separated from the group, some people started running down from the hill, but Pa thought that due to land slide and the havoc caused by mandakini river moving up the hill wud b a better idea because risk involved in going down was far more than going up the hill so he moved up the hill into a village to take shelter but the villagers themselves were abandoning the village because of land slide, ma-pa along with other villagers moved towards the jungle and took shelter beneath a rock and spend whole night under that rock. They all were wet, had no clothes to dry them, nothing to keep them warm in that cold night. In the morning while moving up the hill Ma injured her knee and was unable to move, people kept on moving and ma-pa were left behind, this was the real testing tym for pa..ma was trembling, and like any mother she too thought of her children first, she was much more worried about me n amit, and said to pa, “baccho ka kya hoga?? kaun dekhega unko??” Pa listened to her carefully and said so let’s move on for them, we have to make sure that v survive for them. Pa emotionally motivated ma to forget her pain and to move up. After moving few kilometers the pain was unbearable and ma was unable to move an inch, she wanted to move for us but her legs were not supporting her, pa tried to carry her on his back but couldn’t. For a moment they gave up, Ma asked Pa to leave her behind and move on to save himself as she din’t want anything happen to Pa b4 her to which Pa said,” jab mujhe lagega ki ab kuch b nhi ho sakta, hum log nahi bachenge to pehle mai tumhe neeche dhakel dunga aur fir mai b kood jaunga, lekin jab tak hai saath me hi rahenge”. Ma again tried to move but hardly could move an inch, they were feeling thirsty but had no water to drink, they were feeling cold but had nothing to cover apart from the wet clothes that they were wearing, in that moment of depression came TWO BOYS (for ma n pa and for us they were GOD who disguised themselves as a human), pa immediately rushed to them and asked for their help, they identified themselves as a person who use to carry people on their horses but their horses were washed away in the flood, one of the boy carried ma on his back while other helped Pa to climb up the hill and them they all started to move further. It was unbelievable the way they were climbing up the hill as if it was a child’s play for them, Ma more worried about Pa asked the boy to look after Pa to which the boy said,” ary aunty aap chinta mat karo wo mere bhai k saath hai, unko kuch nhi hoga, agar kuch hoga to pehle mera bhai jaega aur jab tak mai zinda hu tab tak aap ko kuch nhi hoga, bas aap bharosa rakkho.” And when Pa asked the boy who was helping him to look after ma then he too said ,” ary uncle aap chinta mat karo wo mere bhai k saath hai, unko kuch nhi hoga, agar kuch hoga to pehle mera bhai jaega aur jab tak mai zinda hu tab tak aap ko kuch nhi hoga, bas aap bharosa rakkho.” And they kept on moving. Ma was feeling very thirsty, she asked the boy to stop so that she can drink water from the river, to which boy said aunty don’t drink that water it’ too muddy and contaminated but ma was unable to resist from thirst, the boy immediately grabbed few branches of trees and tilted the rain droplet in a leaf-cup and gave it to ma to drink, and then again they moved, mean time rain stopped and it was getting too hot from too cold, they all were sweating, as they were moving it grew dark and temperature dropped drastically and again they started to feel cold, the boys found a place to halt for night, noticing that ma was shivering they tried to burn some wood but they all were wet, seeing that ma was getting unconscious because of cold the boys burnt their socks, shoes, and jackets with the help of a lighter. Somehow the time passed and in the morning ma was in semi unconscious state but one of the boy carried ma on his back and they again started to move, it was third day without food and water, after moving few miles they saw nearly thousand to fifteen hundred people were standing in a queue and were waiting for their chance to be air lifted, they reached that place, they stood in the queue, seeing that ma’s condition was getting worst pa rushed towards the disaster management personnel and requested to provide some medical help to ma, disaster management personnel gave some injections to ma, and said that her condition is getting critical, pa requested him and said,”aap mujhe mat le jaiye lekin bas meri misses ko kisi tarah hospital tak pahucha dijiye.” The disaster management personnel seeing the gravity of the condition asked pa to get ready to board the chopper, pa requested disaster management personnel that there are other two boys also with them, he can’t go without them, to which disaster management personnel said that only six people can board at a time and there are already two patients so we can’t allow them to board this one but will send them in the next round. Pa said that he will stay back with the boys, to which boys objected and said,”uncle aap aunty k saath jaiye hum log ko kuch nhi hoga hum log baad me aajaenge.” After much conversation b/w pa-boys n disaster management personnel, ma-pa along with other four people boarded the chopper and as soon as the chopper took off pa saw a big land slide and nearly 100 of people getting trapped under the mud and then a huge wave of water flooded the entire area and drowned nearly all those who were left behind. That was the last air lifting from that place, survivors were asked to move to next place from where they can b lifted. Chopper landed in the army base, and ma was rushed to army medical camp where doctors immediately started the treatment, she was under observation for thirty six hours, mean while pa tried to contact the other members of the group and was relieved to know they all were safe and sound. They all met at Gupt kashi. While returning they all came to know that his is the only group in which all the members were going back in the same number in which they came. No one can imagine or feel the pain which ma-pa felt in those days of their life, and it wud b hard to understand their conflict of emotions, their conflict with the nature, their conflict to survive and many more other things but what matters the most is that they came out victorious.
