A miserable, damp day... at this rate the lanes will never dry out. A dull week forecast, but Christmas day should be bright and crisp! That sounds more like it! Cut the mistletoe with my friend Mary this morning. Once home, I gathered the holly and ivy and now the sitting room is well decked out. I love collecting it and using it for decoration. The mistletoe has no berries - must have been eaten by the birds. Theyre very welcome - I would have removed them anyway, as they are poisonous to dogs, and Ruby, Im afraid, will eat anything! While collecting the ivy, I saw two little wrens keeping an eye on me. Lets hope they breed in the Spring. Tomorrow its the dreaded shopping day - need to go out get the last minute Christmas veg etc. I can imagine it will be chaotic and Im not looking forward to it one bit. Ruby was such a good girl last night! She wanted to go downstairs just once, and then she snuggled in and went to sleep, bless her. Lets hope for a repeat performance tonight! The budgies are settling down, some preening themselves and some eating. Luna, of course, is upside down in her seed pot - that bird can certainly polish off seed and millet - also tucks into greenery. Its greens day tomorrow. Fresh spinach - might get them some parsley as well. Also some sweetcorn for Lilo Lil - she is the only one that eats it. Well, Ill have a look back through Fb before I get on with my book. Hope you have all had a wonderful Solstice and Yule. Many blessings! nonite all. Blessed be )O( xx
