A mixed weekend for Killester Utd with the sat side going down 21 in a top of the table clash against Postel in Tallaght yesterday. its still early days yet. No such problems for the Sen 1 Sunday side or indeed for Fitzy as he bagged another hat trick to score all the goals for his side in a 3-1 win at home to Newtown Rangers. his first came after 10 mins when danno Murphy swung over an inch perfect pass that was met by Fitzy who buried the ball past the keeper with a bullet header. United spurned several more chances in the half the best of which was a rasping 30 yard pile driver from Shane that riccoshade off the underside of the cross bar but newtown managed to scramble away. Newtown got on top after the break and were rewarded with a goal in the 60 th min when their right winger struck a loose ball outside the area through a crowd of players giving the keeper no chance. Game on. the entry of Hanaphy and Corcoran changed the balance back to the home side This gave Curly the chance to dominate midfield and it wasnt long before Killester were back in front. Hanaphy used his strenth to turn the defender on the HW line Once free he sent over a great cross for Fitzy to fire home He was to again to turn provider in the dying minute when refusing to give up on what looked like a lost cause he returned the ball from an accute angle back into Fitzys path. who notched up his third goal in the game and his second hat trick in back to back matches.
