I also owe a great deal to my wondrous US cameraman Mike Balog, the support of UK producer Jason LaMotte & cameraman Kevin Pearcy, who made it all happen. FIRST INTERVIEW: Bath, an old & beautiful little town, to film the definitive Chaplin author, DAVID ROBINSON, who provided intriguing insights into the Chaplin character & a revelatory comic influence, unbeknownst to me, of Chaplin’s early inspiration….. Then a quick stop at Caroline Simonds humble abode & back to the UK, to prep for more…. THIRD INTERVIEW: A train to Winchester, a scenic town outside of London, to film JOHN FISHER, a former producer for the BBC & Thames, and prolific biographical author of comic greats, who amazed me with his analysis on everyone from Dan Leno to Max Wall. Encountering legends on his Michael Parkinson’s Show, John’s passion was clear in his remarkable discourse of the eccentric and the profound impact in dance & comedy……
