A nation fully divided by religious beliefs. Nigeria is a heterogeneous society wit many different ethnic, religion, culture. Religion in Nigeria is one of d greatest factor that determine politic n governance. This cant b divorced in even d fight against d dreaded sect,Book Haram, by our government. Though, I might not know exactly why, or I can say, I didnt understand at all why certain areas are more equal in d quelling of this menace,a national calamity called Book Haram.( Am very aware of George Orwells Animal Farm though) My confusion is on d recent happening in my home state,Borno state, where many towns n villages were destroyed n claimed by this sect but our government sound as if nothing was/is happened/happening there compared with how they equally react to d same when happened elsewhere in d state or in its neighbour like Yobe,Adamawa,Gombe,Bauchi or even Kano! Typical comparison to make here is d happenings in Kalabalge,Bama,Dikwa,Ngala,Mafa, Konduga,Gwoza,Mallum Fatori(all local governments) n Chibok school girls n recent its conquered. D potiskum school blast etc. On d national daily news we only here d news of some selected attacked been discussed but d hitherto areas I mentioned. Then I wonder! Why? What should be d reason? Many girls(school girls inclusive) were kidnapped in these LGs. Many Nigerians souls were prematurely taken. Billions of naira worth properties were destroyed. Many children were made orphans, Many women were now widows. But yet we only hear of Chibok girls were not back! What of those other Nigerians. Or is it because Chibok has majority Christians as some people believed n are saying? At first, I dont wan to agree wit such assertion myself. Why is it that d other LGs crisis is not reported as that of Chibok? Is it because d majority of the people are Muslim? To me we are all Nigerians n equal but its seems some Nigerians are more equal than others as opined by George Orwell in his novel Animal Farm where he said some animals are more equal than others. Pls wen treating Nigerians let treat all equal. Am not against salvaging or reclaiming any of d lost territory of our great country but am a proponent of equality of all in a heterogeneous society like, our in a situation like ours. Nigeria is seems to b divided more than ever before! What else can one say in this country? Concern citizen
