A new Citizen Action of Wisconsin research report reveals that health insurance in the new marketplaces will cost 79% to 99% more in Wisconsin than neighboring Minnesota in part because of Scott Walker’s sabotage of ObamaCare. The report shows that the big difference between the two states is that Minnesota is using the tools made available by the Affordable Care Act to lower costs, while Scott Walker is trying to undermine the new law at every turn. We need you help to continue to get out the word that WalkerCare is bad medicine for Wisconsin. Please make a tax-deductible contribution of $100, $50, $25, or whatever you can spare to Citizen Action of Wisconsin Education Fund. The shocking numbers in our new report document the heavy cost Wisconsin health insurance consumers will pay because of Scott Walker’s refusal to use the tools provided by the national health reform law. According to the report, which I co-authored with my staff colleague Kevin Kane, because of Walker’s cynical policies Wisconsin health care consumers may pay up to $1,000 more per year for coverage than the counterparts in Minnesota. The more people hear about this outrage the better chance we have of reversing Walker’s disastrous policies.
