A new World Challenge season has begun today. The World Challenge is for all friends, allies and advocates of young people who want the world to know that they are part of the millions who #Stand4Youth. Most of you here work with employment. You might also work with health, climate change, political activism, human rights or for social causes that deal with massive incarceration, migration, disabled youth, marginalized communities, populations in conflict zones, peace efforts, racial discrimination, gender equality, journalistic freedom, and more. YOU#Stand4Youth. The call is simple. Instead of all of us hunkering down to stand only for our niche interests in isolation, we are calling everyone to unite around a simple, basic premise: that 1.8 billion young peoples stories will not go unnoticed any longer. Will this solve the worlds problems overnight? No. But we cannot take care of something we refuse to see in the first place. The first step in any social movement is to recognize the immense value of those living in suffering. We reject to name them simply victims. We want to let the world know that YES! we see them and we will stand side by side with them as we work towards justice for young people in all communities around the world.
