A new and exciting fundraising initiative to help stop men’s violence against women We all like to think that our family, our friends, our neighbours and ourselves are safe at home. Most of us would believe this to be a basic human right and would be outraged if it were taken from us. But sadly, for many, this is not always the case. In Australia, at least one woman is killed every week by a former of current partner. And one in four young Australians has witnessed violence against their mothers. This year, White Ribbon Night falls on Friday 26 July. On this night, we ask all Australians to have a night in to get the word out about the seriousness of the issue of men’s violence against women in Australia. Our hope is that communities across Australia will unite in support to bring an end to this insidious violence. By registering an event and making a donation you’re helping us get closer to achieving this goal. And raising funds to support important work being done to prevent violence against women before it occurs will help drive social change.
