A new beginning........ After only six years of being in Alabama I have had the honor of working at two of the most influential community focused agencies in the South, Miles College and JCCEO. You have read my posts and fantasies of being a stay at home mom well as of October 1 thats exactly what I will be. For the foreseeable future I expect to be, first and foremost, the manager of the Agee family brand. Its a position for which I am uniquely qualified for and humbled to be able to do. Im excited and so blessed to be able to make this transition for my family. Although when I bought something that cost $28.00 yesterday I calculated the amount of time Bob has to work to make that amount back. My first day at home my kids asked me in disbelief if I was joking. They then proceeded to ask me what I did all day. When I started with my list hour-by-hour of what I did, by the time I got to noon they stopped me and said ok ok whats for dinner. These days I get to make good on promises that Ive made like going to see a casting agent in Atlanta about a reality show based on my life, helping people finish their memoirs, guest lecturing in Psychology, writing grants for small and mid sized cities, helping people to repair their credit and start their new financial lives, helping women turn their passion into money, getting my license in a Psychology, going to visit family and friends and most importantly developing a sports medicine career camp for youth. I have to pinch myself because I get to do yoga at 10am and not worry about the phone because probably Ive been up to the kids school twice already... Quest, in particular likes the momma drop ins for snacks and lunch. Ill miss the people at my job and the copier that I affectionately referred to as R2-D2. But I found an R2-D2 type copier at the UPS store less than a mile from my house and the relationships I made at work are never gonna go away . I have been working ever since I was 13 years old. So this is a new reality for me, but one that my family and I have been looking forward to for sometime now! Thanks for your likes and words of encouragement and advise along the way.
