A new client just left who came in on an injury case. The - TopicsExpress

A new client just left who came in on an injury case. The former lawyer, allegedly gave her the complete file. I hope not. If so, he blew the case by missing statutory time periods. He never sent a spoliation letter demanding the defendant keep the evidence. He never sent medical bills pertaining to her main injury. He never filed a law suit though the client thought he did. He never put the defendant under the required legal notice. He sent a demand after the time had expired. He told her that her case is over, but didnt mention the errors of his ways. He listed one of the medical providers by a different name than they are commonly known, in his demand hmmmm? (did I mention they referred him the case?) His demand had no mention of any dental bills, but her main injury was loss of teeth. The documents that he had the client sign talk about her car wreck. There was no car wreck. Something fell on her. I have to give him credit His letter head did spell the attorneys name correct, but not the word telephone. Some lawyers should spend less time on TV and more time being a lawyer. I hope I am wrong, but for now, I feel sick.
