A new name has finally entered the transfer window with Manchester United being linked with a top class player in young German international Mesut Ozil. The 24 year old attacking midfielder joined Real Madrid after his exemplary displays for the national team at the 2010 FIFA World Cup caught the attention of the world, and Real moved swiftly to secure his signature for just 15 million euros from Werder Bremen. Ozil has been an integral part of the Real Madrid side over the last three years, notching up in excess of 50 games a year, and was reportedly a favourite of former Manager Jose Mourinho. Manchester United, according to reports on Spanish TV, are set to offer Real 40 million pounds for Ozil, a fantastic return on investment for the Galacticos, who could use the transfer to fund their unending pursuit of Welsh winger Gareth Bale.
