A new report commissioned by Queensland Health reveals the state - TopicsExpress

A new report commissioned by Queensland Health reveals the state governments closure of the Barrett Adolescent Centre for mental health led to increased distress and mental health incidents. Report co-author Associate Professor Beth Kotze said the announcement of the closure led to a contagion effect of distress and anxiety amongst the adolescents and an increase number incidents. Three former patients of the centre have died since it was closed by the state government in January this year. The Coroner is investigating the deaths.
