A new study shows the US government projects to make more money off student loans this fiscal year than Exxon Mobil, Apple, JP Morgan Chase or Fannie Mae made on their respective businesses last year. The US government expected to record a $50 -billion dollar profit on student loans this year. Exxon Mobile,made over $44 billion profit in 2012 which made it the most profitable company in the country. Now it will be the Student Loan program that will be the most profitable at $50 billion ! And if the interest rates on some of these loans double this fall, the government will be drowning in big bucks. You gotta real love this stuff.
