A new zero-day vulnerability in Microsofts Internet Explorer - TopicsExpress

A new zero-day vulnerability in Microsofts Internet Explorer package has been announced by Microsoft and is being tracked as CVE-2014-1776. Network Box Security Response, in partnership with Microsofts Active Protection Program (MAPP), has released NBIDPS (IDS & IPS) signatures to detect exploits of this vulnerability and provide protection at the gateway. These signatures have already been released, and customers using the NBIDPS system will be protected against current known exploit vectors. In addition, we continue to work with our anti-virus labs to provide HTTP anti-virus protection signatures for known exploits wherever possible.
