A news program aired just before I wrote this reported on the aftermath of the Zamboanga crisis. It reported on an alleged former MNLF hostage who saw, among others, how the rebels blended with civilian populace to avoid arrest, and how the commander, Habier Malik, supposedly brought women snipers and wrought terror on his fellow rebels by threatening them death if they deserted. The story had a single source -- the hostage. Next story. It told of a house bill from AVE party-list that seeks to ban collection of fees for public comfort rooms. The story reported on many perspectives: the partylist group, lots of members of the CR-using public, as well as those opposed to the measure (i.e. those who manage the public CRs). Very comprehensive reporting on this bill.
