A newspaper in Virginia in 1905 changed its name to the Fauquier democrat. Then in 1987 the name became the Fauquier Time-democrat. Today it announced the name will be the Fauquier Times. The staff reasoned things are just too partisan to be called "democrat" anymore. Funny. In 1905 Virginia the paper had no problem becoming the "democrat" paper. Why? Because there was no partisanship in the Jim Crow segregated oppressive South: everything was democrat. Now, however, gotta run from those roots to stay viable. What filthy hypocrites.
