A nice mention of BLOOD MUSIC in the second slide of this piece. Thanks to Mark Ytrullde for pointing it out! Its always good to be part of the mix. A lot of these ideas and inventions, of course, go back before the cited media presentations--to classic SF stories from the 20s and 30s, if not before that! I once pointed out to Harlan Ellison that “Demon with a Glass Hand” expanded nicely on a Jewish myth about Adam’s finger containing all the souls of the human race. If the Antikythera device was made by Hellenistic nerds, perhaps they were reading or writing Hellenistic science fiction!
