A nice start to the day! Roses blooming, happy dogs, first visitors adopted one of the girls owned by Labradors & Friends Dog Rescue! Chloe loves her new people and they loved her. Unfortunately for Joaquin, he has now lost both of his girlfriends! He used to be great friends with Willow, the Giant Schnauzer. When she was gone due to old age, he still had Chloe and they played all day long. Time for him to get a new girlfriend. We have another, very sweet, girl from Labs & Friends who will no doubt make him a happy boy. Nobody ever adopts him and he has had quite a nice life here for the past 6 years since he was abandoned by an irresponsible owner after boarding. Oh well -- he loves to play with his toys and his girlfriends. Hell have a new one later today .... I am counting the days until the election. Why, you might ask, since I am not a citizen and cant vote? So the idiotic ads can stop, that why! Such rampant stupidity. Ill say one thing about Jerry Brown, our governor, who has done an excellent job with our budget here in California, the only ad you see from him is one about water conservation and putting money aside for future droughts, proposition 1 and 2. His opponent, on the other hand, has ads that have gone from bad to worse. Ugh. Im sure over the next 11 days, the political ads will reach a crescendo prior to thankfully going away! I love the ads for the Residence Inns -- you know, the ones with the elephant and the giraffe enjoying their luxury suites. Hilarious and great animals in the ads. Enough. Time to be grateful! Grateful for a lovely day -- forecast to be in the high 70s. Some small clouds wafting across the sky, the usual raven comedians looking for their snacks, happy dogs partying in the yard, happy people! A few nice cups of coffee and now, time to work! I am grateful, thankful and appreciative for a great start to the day, another good book by Jussi Adler-Olsen, a nice day here on FB with happy dogs, happy people! I am grateful for my good friends who help to make each day a pleasure. I am grateful for the hard work of all the rescues who board their dogs here -- they are tireless and work very hard to make sure all of their charges get terrific homes! They all deserve our gratitude and recognition. An attitude of gratitude!
