A night dedicated to most influential Indians Gulf Connoisseur – the premier luxury magazine from the UAE, held its first annual Most Influential Indians Awards, at an exclusive charity function, at the Leela Palace in Bangalore, on Tuesday. Karnataka Governor Vajubhai Rudabhai Vala was the chief guest at the event. In what proved to be a night of excellence, eminent personalities like Dr. Subramanian Swamy, Dr. K. Radhakrishnan (ISRO Chairman) Dr. L Subramaniam (Violin maestro), V Ravichandran (Director, Producer, Actor), Dr. N K Venkataramana (Neurosurgeon), B K S Varma (artist), Kris Gopalakrishnan (IT) and Sarita Devi (Boxer) were recognised for their exceptional contribution and presented with the prestigious Hebron Connoisseur Award. The panel of judges for this year comprised three acclaimed connoisseurs in their respective fields¬ – Deepa Ramsubramanian, art curator and businesswoman, Veena Murthy, renowned Kuchipudi Danseuse and Meena Das Narayan, publisher, editor, artist, filmmaker and poet. Choosing from an elite group of nominations selected by readers in eight categories, the judges selected the most influential leader who has influenced and motivated the younger generation. According to Meena Das Narayan, publisher, Gulf Connoisseur magazine, “Gulf Connoisseur Awards are the most sought-after awards in the UAE. We are very excited about the debut of this coveted platform in India in Bangalore.
