A night on the town... Le jour de Gaillac Premieur. Many people are saying the 2014 season and harvest was the best ever for Gaillac wines. In any event, the annual new wine festival is a special occasion and a very lively night said to be the largest most vivant soiree of its kind in France. For the price of 1 Euro (to buy a glass) you can join in sure the evening brings people of all ages and every background (excepting Muslims) together in the happiest of ways, to eat. sample the new wines, converse, sing and dance and is a great credit to the Municipal (council) other organisers and the amicable people of this remote corner of lOccitain, one of the oldest wine growing regions in France, Gaillac. The photos and short video give one some idea of this bizarre and special night in the year of Ville De Gaillac. There is no way I could see an evening like that in GB, apart from the convivial atmosphere I doubt it would ever pass Health & Safety or get insurance. Seductive Gaillac, enjoy! vins-gaillac
