A note from Nelson Rosales - our former program coordinator and friend to many of you. Congratulations to Nelson and Karen. Nelson says: Introducing our newborn son, Carlos Hercules Pennesi Rosales. He was born at home in his own bedroom at our home in London, Ontario on Monday 29 Sept. at 7:30 a.m. after a mercifully quick labour of about 3 hours. I caught him in my hands as he came into the world. Big brother Adam watched him come out and welcomed him to the outside. It was a lovely sunny morning. As you can see, he is beautiful and healthy, showing his big strong arms, worthy of his name, Hercules (pronounced like the Spanish as air-coo-less). We gave him two first names, Carlos Hercules, which mean strong and free man and we believe this will guide him well through life. (You can just call him Carlos though.) He shares his middle name, Pennesi, with Adam. Karen is recovering well, and we are so happy to have had him at home where we can rest and be comfortable. The midwife, Sarah, was great. No major complications and everyone is doing fine.
