A note sent to us from Brenda and Joe, who stayed with us in February: Why a Bed and Breakfast? my friends asked when I explained that wed be staying in Stratford for three nights. Because I want to converse with someone who can advise us as to the best possible way to spend what little time we have in Stratford, I explained. And Dom and Elena turned out to be both excellent advisers, as well as warm and welcoming hosts. Our breakfasts were carefully planned (to accommodate allergies) and were absolutely delicious every morning! Birmingham Manor has both the charm of yesteryear, as well as the convenience and cleanliness needed today. Our room had everything from a sleigh bed and antique dolls to a brand new bathroom replete with glassed-in shower. Coffee, tea, and baking were always at the ready in the parlour, a fridge upstairs cooled a ready supply of water, pop, and juice, and a wonderfully unique phone booth stood waiting in the entrance to offer complimentary private calls to family or friends. My husband and I came to Stratford for a convention, but Elena and Dom (and their wonderful home) made us feel like we had enjoyed a very special vacation.
