A note to the people trashing the East Bay as a form of protest. Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. didnt march to Selma under the cover of darkness. Cesar Chavez didnt break windows and loot the 7-11 in Delano. Harvey Milk never wore a mask. Right now the only news about your protests is damage and looting. The only message be scared of large groups of minorities, because they will trash your store. Is that what you want? Yall blocked a freeway in Oakland. The only news coverage that got was the woman in labor trapped in the backup. Im an old socialist agitator. If you want change, Organize, educate, and march with a single clear message. You have to be the ones cracking down on the jerks ruining your message. Civil disobedience means being civil. Getting a message out means understanding how to work with the media (both old and new) so people know both why youre marching and what the change you want entails.
