A notice from Carole Kennedy: Good morning, players, Welcome to the numerous new names on this months list. There will be changes for us at the end of November, but for the present well continue to play at the ARC on Mondays (11:15 to 1:30) and on Fridays (6:30 to 8:30). Well play at New Haven Elementary on Tuesdays (6 to 8) and on Thursdays (7:30 to 9). Please note that on Thursday November 7 we CANNOT play at New Haven due to school program. Please note that after November 28th we will NO LONGER be able to play at New Haven on TUESDAY evenings. Parks and Recreation continues to move toward making the sand volleyball court at Oakland Park into 4 dedicated pickleball courts. This is a goal the Show-Me Pickleball Club has been working on for several years and we are excited to know that there is a possibility this could come to fruition before the end of the outdoor season next year. Public meetings to gather input on this project must be held...and soon. We want to have a large number of players attend this meeting. We have been asked to suggest a date for the meeting.....allowing two weeks for public notice. I am suggesting Monday, Nov 18 at 6:30 or Wednesday, Nov 20 at 6:30.... or Monday, Nov 25 at 6:30. Please let me know which of these dates work best for you. I must contact Mike at P&R this week so will need your feedback by Thursday noon. Thanks.... We can vary the 6:30 start time if necessary. If you have need to start later please let me know. This is our opportunity to help make this project happen so put on those club shirts and come on out! If you dont have a club shirt...e anyway!!!!! Bring family, friends, neighbors, business associates, church members, book club members, golfing and tennis partners, .... we want lots of pickleball fans at this meeting.
