A number of events this week has the reality of our human frailty and experience weighing heavy in my mind. What a grand, singular experience. Im overwhelmed with both the permanence and fleeting nature of our lives. I think it is bigger than we know. It is too big for small-mindedness and yet it is so unique and intimate to each of us that it is small things that give richness and purpose. I think of the many whove held place on the small stage that is my life and I wish I had been a little more attentive to what they had to say and to teach and been a bit more willing to serve and love them, particularly those who arent coming back through. Despite that, Im grateful for those who showed me love and kindness and gave me a chance. So many...too many to ever count.
