A number of good friends have posted this sort of thing, and it is no criticism of, or attack on them personally (it looks like a copy and paste message to me) . . . but I am saddened a little to see people be critical of the no makeup selfie campaign. Yes, it is a shame that people dont donate to cancer research (or any other charity) anyway, unlike myself and probably the people posting these critiques . . . but its fact that they dont and if it takes something fun like this to get these people to make a donation, albeit a one off, then it cant be anything other than a good thing! The massive increase in donations to Cancer research this last few weeks have proved this. Is it any different to a sponsored cycle, bungee jump or sit in a bath of baked beans? Some women (sadly) find it incredibly hard to show themselves un-made up, just as others find it hard to run 5k or climb a mountain . . . and this was instantly achievable to all regardless of age or disability. I just hope everyone made the donation as well as posting their pictures. Okay, sorry . . . rant over!!!
