A parent asks our group: Do ya ever notice your sensory kiddos always seem to want to freak out, be hyper, act more impulsive then usual, panic more, and then to top it off stay awake a lot longer then you desire coming up with every excuse known to man for why they cant stay in bed every time there is a crisis being faced. Sigh so tired. I dont know if any of you have heard the news but, Moncton NB. Canada was on lockdown due to a man killing 3 police officers and injuring 2. He was able to hide in a neighborhood for 30hrs before anyone caught him. At least 10 of my close friends and their families were in the lockdown zone and a few of them were in the mediate section the police were searching for him. Needless to say I along with many of my friends Im sure have not slept much at all since Wednesday and tonight is the night my 5yo sensory kiddo decides to be all like Im gonna drive the building nuts cause Im on high sensory tonight. He does not know what went down as we know he would have freaked out severely. I hope he will now be generous and sleep, sleep, sleep.
