A parent asks our group: I am lost. I have no idea what I am doing anymore. My ten year old has APD and SPD. She is homeschooled but I have put myself in debt having her join all the brain training and speech therapies. The problem is there really isnt any change. Her learning is a little better but when at programs her anxiety becomes so overpowering to her it takes her days to recover. I am now looking at the arrowsmith program for next year. The problem is I think that I need to stop. Continue teaching her the best I can and except memory, spelling, reading are just not going to happen. Her maths and verbal vocab have been improving. The only problem is the voice in my head telling me to not give up. I worry what if the next program is the answer what if I dont try and she could have has more am I not doing right by her. I just dont know what to do.
