A parent asks our group: I am wondering if you can tell me if this sounds like Sensory disorder...my son is 3 yrs old and does not know how to chew and only eats pureed foods. He is very tolerant to pain, gets scared easily over non scary things, like going on a swing at the park, is constantly screaming/crying/whining and gets frustrated VERY easily all day, was delayed in speech, walks with toes inwards and on toes - also very clumsy, delayed in motor skills, gets upset when being dressed, sometimes likes to be hugged and cuddles, sometimes does not, does not like to get dirty.....He has been assessed for autism, but came back negative. He has also been assessed for speech and is delayed atleast 6-12 months. Not sure if this is wheat the group is for, but I thought that you would have a lot more experience and info...just found out about this disorder online and it does sound a lot like my son. Also, just wondering who would help if it is the case? Occ. therapist, speech therapist, other? Thank you!!
