A parent asks our group: My 2 1/2 daughter was diagnosed with ASD/SPD and the doctor said to keep an eye out for ADHD as shes already showing symptoms (which we already knew). Shes our first and only child. I would like to know from the group for those who have first borns with ASD/SPD if they decided to expand their family (have more children) and if so, what gave them the courage/strength to look past the what ifs and go for it? I would love to have another baby in the future but my spouse is currently resistant bc hes afraid of having another kid with special needs. I love my daughter more than life itself. Okay so our parenting hasnt been the traditional but shes taught me so much about life through her mind/eyes.
