A parent asks our group: My 5yr old SPD son started spitting a few months back and now constantly spits, especially when he is outside. He says he feels like there is yucky stuff in his mouth and he has to spit it out. Has anyone dealt with this behavior before and if so any insights or hints on how to help him manage it? All Ive been able to come up with so far is having him spit in garbage cans when ones around if not then in the grass or off the sidewalk. Thank you so much.
