A parent asks our group: My daughter just had an appt w a developmental pediatrician yesterday after waiting six months to get in. I was hoping to come out of there w a diagnosis. She has ot and st 1x a week. She suffers daily w dramatic tantrums, not able to change her routine, cant eat many foods. Its a constant struggle. She has all these sensory needs according to her ot but the doctor says its not a disorder and cant be diagnosed. So where can we get help? We obviously know shes different and has her own needs but the doctor says spd isnt a disorder and it just means shes sensitive. Im so frustrated most days.
